I suppose that depends on the use case. My favorite distro for use as a server (infrastructure/general use/dhcp/dns) is probably Debian. It’s lean, and reliable. In some cases I may use Ubuntu Server (LTS) for more advanced web or file services.
For desktop use, it depends again on the use case. Mint’s great for appliances. Ubuntu is always a good choice for admin or dev users, but Pop!_OS and Elementary OS are good for general use.
